I am a returning art student as well as a returning health student. I hope one day to be where I want to be….
What is raw vegan?
Raw vegan is consuming fruits, nuts, vegetables, seeds, ect… in their most natural state or if prepared in a dehydrator not above 115 degrees for a long period of time.
Canned, bottled, processed foods are pretty much avoided, except for a few condiments here and there and sometimes frozen fruit is used in smoothies. (I don’t like to be too dogmatic)
Also, I personally LOVE raw honey, and I know this is not considered vegan and I am sorry to those who might take offense.
Nutritional Yeast is another item often used by many raw vegans that isn’t a raw item, but it has a great flavor, especially for raw nut cheeses and it has those B vitamins that we non-meat eaters sometimes don’t get enough of.
I don’t claim to be an expert by any means, I am still just feeling my way around like everyone else.
